Brandon Nowlin, Branch Manager at Southern Air stated, “We are so glad to see that Valley College’s HVAC program has been approved. We struggle to find qualified and /or trained personnel in the area and feel that there is a great need for this type of program.” Beth Gardner, Vice President of Valley College added “We have followed the guidance of our Advisory Board, local HVAC companies and the local workforce agencies to develop this new program. We expect the Valley College recipe of quality faculty, facilities and equipment will result in capable graduates with the same job placement success we have experienced in our medical and business programs.”

Patricia Wilson, from the Princeton City Council said, “I cannot begin to tell you how fortunate the city of Princeton WV is to have Valley College on Mercer Street.  The expansion of the HVAC program will not only benefit the local community, but will bring students from other counties.  This is an exciting program that will give an opportunity to people that lost their jobs in the coal mines and to others that are having a hard time finding jobs.  It is a specialized educational program that is needed in our area and I congratulate and THANK Valley College on their willingness to step out and be the forerunners.”

Valley College is accredited through ACICS, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and has been under new ownership since August 2011. Since that date it has seen an increase in enrollment, upgrades to all internet, computers, and teaching equipment, and expansion of all 3 campuses. Valley College has been a part of the local community for more than 26 years. In that time span the school has been able to directly impact the lives of students who were looking to make positive changes and find themselves in a better career.
